Issue #9 - 9th April 2009

Welcome friend,

Have you had a look at our latest offerings, on Fallen Leaders (concentrating on the one who never goes away - Mr Todd Bentley) and our short but thought-provoking piece on the Crucifixion, prompted by a comment from Kim (wife of Howard, Mum of Louie), making her debut at the dining table (where we do the recordings)? Over the next 2 weeks I'll be putting up four more conversations from that productive but meandering session - Searching the Scriptures, sanctification, 'doing Church' and avoiding condemnation -so keep coming back, folks!

Issue #8 - 2nd April 2009

Welcome friend,

Issue #7 - 26th March 2009

Welcome friend,

We've never had so much anticipation for a recording session as we do for our next one this Sunday. The blockbuster session last month sent us all to our Bibles, which can't be a bad thing and we're hoping to carry on where we left off - this time creeping stealthily into the contentious area of Calvinism, predestination etc. My brain is aching already! We'll have to just see where the Lord leads ...

Issue #6 - 20th March 2009

Welcome friend,

I am starting to feel the first glimmer of excitement. Only two months away from the Christian Resources exhibition and we are starting to plan our stand. It's costing an arm and a leg but we feel that it's the best way to announce ourselves to the World, as at the moment the World is still staying away!

Issue #5 – 12th March 2009

Welcome friend,

So, did you listen to our latest chat, “Does God really love the World”? Provocative title and a provocative broadcast. It may have seemed open-ended, but we feel that is a good thing. After all, who are we to proclaim “Thus sayeth the Lord” and imply that the matter is resolved. Matters are never fully resolved and we know that the broadcast has sent many of you (and us) deeper into the Word, which can’t be a bad thing. We will be continuing our look at this subject in our next session later this month. We’ll keep you posted!

Issue #4 – 5th March 2009

Welcome friend,

Thanks to the half dozen or so folk who contacted us last week I don’t feel quite so alone, but would love to keep hearing from you all. Did you listen to our Apostate Church recording and, if so, what did you think? Did you spot the bombshell statement? It was to do with the love of God and, in the tea break after the session, my darling wife Monica challenged Chris Hill on this and the result can be heard this weekend!

Starting next week will be daily devotionals. They are by Chris Hill and are truly bite-sized, none longer than 5 minutes. The first 24 of them are on the Sermon on the Mount and they are absolutely spiffing, so visit us every day and be blessed.

Issue #3 - 26th February 2009

Welcome friend,

Are you still with us and are you telling your friends? Thanks to the four people who contacted us last week as a result of my little moan. It was very encouraging, so please get in touch, just to let us know you’re out there.

Hope you are enjoying our sessions. By now you have probably an idea of where we’re coming from. We are “unashamed Bible bashers” who just wish they knew the Bible better and are thankful to our regular guests for the knowledge they share with us. We are passionate about learning more of the Lord through chatting about just about everything that comes to mind, from Jade Goody to the Gaza conflict. We promise a lot more in the future. If you have any ideas for subject matter why not drop us a line?

Issue #2 - 19th February 2009

Welcome friend,

Yes it’s me again, with another update. At last we have made some inroads into the wider Christian world. Our chats with John Mackay (and my article) have created rather a ruckus on the Premier Radio forum (www.premiercommunity.org.uk ) and the Gaza discussion with Tony Pearce have really stirred things up – just read the blog comments (add to them if you like, as long as you’re nice to us!)
