Issue #8 - 2nd April 2009
Welcome friend,
My brain is still bruised after our wrestling with Predestination and Free Will last Sunday - you can hear it yourself and make up your mind if we added to your understanding. By now you've probably realised that our sessions are not scripted or tidy. We feel that there is too much material out there that forces out opinions and draws a line and says, 'that's it now ... this is what you should think ...'. We prefer to ramble, offer differing viewpoints, voice doubts, even waffle a bit and leave the whole thing open-ended - that way the conversation is kept open and you, the listener, may be encouraged to think things out for yourself. That's the Hebraic way ... tell us what you think.
Have you listened to our daily devotionals - all done by Chris Hill in his inimitable style. We have just started a series on Easter week - go and have a listen and please feedback to us if this is the sort of thing you like listening to.
My book is now at the printers - in Malta of all places! Hopefully I'll have them back - all 2000 copies - by the end of April. As to what it's about I'm hoping the clue is in the cover graphic - have a look at the right hand side of the home page.
The exhibition gets closer. We are planning to make our stand look like a French bistro - my wife's idea - you'll have to ask her 'why' by coming to CRE as our guest in May! STILL GOT PLENTY OF FREE TICKETS! Don't hold back, send us your name and address and we can send you up to 4 tickets, as long as you meander along to stand S8a in May and say hello to us!
As well as my book we will be launching a set of booklets in a series entitled, "A Challenge to the Church". More of this next week. Also next week I'll tell you an exciting new idea that we are following up the next time we meet ....
Come now to www.saffronplanet.net and be blessed. Also drop us a line at contact@saffronplanet.net. And, most importantly, please pray for us, for resources and wisdom. We still need to figure out how we’re going to pay for CRE, though thanks for Peter and Brenda for helping us at least to pay for a small advert in the brochure.
Many blessings
Steve
