Issue #12 - 30th April 2009

Welcome friend,

The last 24 hours have been a nightmare. You may have noticed that we had disappeared and I thought that we was a goner! Spammers had broken into the site and used us to send zillions of emails around the world. The Spam police got wind of this and forced us to go offline. But now, thanks to the sterling efforts of our techie Kit and the graciousness of our ISP, we are back. With just 10 days to go to our "launch" at CRE, I was tearing my hair out.
But, praise God, He prevailed and it showed us that we need to be vigilant - please continue to pray for all aspects of our ministry. Thanks!

So, what's new? We had a great session last Sunday and ended up with over 2 hours of new material. We were also video-ed for our first visual feature that will be uploaded in a couple of weeks or so, once it's edited. We started off with a light-hearted free-for-all featuring Howard, myself and four of our sons - that one is live now, A Buffet of Banter. No idea what folk are going to make of that - please tell us! Then we brought out the "big guns" - Chris and the three wives, along with the video equipment (one of the cameras took up about a half of the space in the room!) and video-ed us tackling "Repentance", the first in a series on the Foundations of the faith. This was also recorded in audio and will be uploaded next week. We followed this with a long rambling session, covering material in my new book (What, you've got a new book ...?) The book has now arrived from Malta and they have done a fantastic job on it, it looks very professional - now all we have to do is shift them - our house is now adorned with 64 boxes of books! Thank goodness for an understanding wife!

Next Thursday (7th May) I will be on Premier Radio (www.premier.org.uk) with John Pantry at 8am talking about the book. It would be nice to hear some friendly easy questions if you fancy phoning in! Then, of course, there's the launch on May 16th. Any of you coming?

Next week I'll be talking about the future of Saffron Planet and such things.

Come now to www.saffronplanet.net and be blessed. Also drop us a line at contact@saffronplanet.net. And, most importantly, please pray for us, for resources and wisdom and buckets of dosh to pay for the ambitious plans we have to reform the UK Church (and for four executive jets, a fleet of monogrammed Rolls Royces, a box of yo-yos and a yacht!)

Many blessings

Steve
